Turkey Run

We decided to have a family day and go hiking at Turkey Run over Fall Break.  Overall, we had a great family day. It was a perfect day for hiking. Can't wait to go back!



We decided to hike the 2 most rugged trails. Alyssa led the way the entire time.

 







The girls actually asked if they could camp in this little cave overnight.

 




Ummm, is this the trail?!?!  I believe Alaina's exact words were "this is awesome!"

First Day of School

Here are the girls ready for their first day of school

I can't beleive Lainey's in Kindergarten already!

I seems like it was only yesterday that Alyssa was getting ready to ride the bus for the first time

And here she is now, the big 3rd grader

Alaina's 8U Debut

Alyssa's 8 and under softball game was short a few players last week, so we got Alaina suited up in case we needed her to sub in. She got to play in her first 8U game where they keep score, outs, & strikes. She got a hit on her very first pitch, there was an overthrow to first, so she made it to 2nd. Needless to say, she had a very good 8U debut!

Afterwards, she got the game ball. The entire team created a cheer for her evertime she batted:

Swim Lessons

The girls have finished Session I of Swim Lessons already this year. They both did great and have already made a lot of progress in the pool this year:

The girls enjoyed watching the Indy 500 on tv. Alyssa says she wants to go to the race next year. I think we'll start with practices.

A Yummy Mother's Day

The girls got me this yummy fruit boquet for Mother's Day. It didn't last long!

Alyssa Pitching

Alyssa got to pitch during one game earlier this year. She did a great job and if she keeps practicing, she might get to pitch more games next year. Who knows, she might take after Ryan's cousin Lizzie :)
